Rooted in Freedom

Freedom requires formation—at every stage

Whether a young adult is preparing to start or is already enrolled in university, college or another course, Rooted in Freedom helps them build resilience, clarity and a grounded faith.

What this course builds

In eight guided weeks, students will:

  • Clarify their identity in Christ
  • Define their non-negotiable values
  • Develop self-discipline and time structure
  • Set healthy digital boundaries
  • Pre-decide alcohol/drugs and relationship standards
  • Build resilience for when mistakes happen
  • Create a four-year purpose plan

We don’t scare students. We equip them.

Why it matters

Every stage brings new choices

New independence can expose gaps in habits, boundaries and direction—before classes begin or after student life is already underway.

This course gives your child:

  • A personal accountability covenant
  • A digital habit tracker
  • An accountability partner
  • A resilience reset plan
  • A clear sense of purpose

It is never too early—or too late—to become more anchored.

Who it’s for

Is this your family?

  • Students preparing to start university, college or another course
  • Students already enrolled who want stronger habits and direction
  • Christian families navigating growing independence
  • Parents who value both grace and responsibility

The promise

By the end of eight weeks

Your child will be:

  • More self-aware
  • More spiritually grounded
  • More confident in their choices
  • More prepared for the next stage of student life

Questions families ask

How long is the programme?
Eight guided weeks. Cohorts are deliberately limited to 15 students so that the discussion stays honest and every participant is actually known.
Who is it for?
Young adults preparing to start—or already enrolled in—university, college or another course, along with parents who want to support their growing independence.
Is this counselling?
No. Rooted in Freedom is a formation programme, not therapy. TCN does not provide therapy, clinical counselling or crisis intervention.
Do parents take part?
Yes. Parents are partners rather than spectators. The programme is designed so that the conversations continue at home rather than only in session.
What happens after the eight weeks?
Students leave with a written accountability covenant, a habit tracker, an accountability partner and a four-year purpose plan — things they take with them rather than a certificate.
